I found a reputable pet store that a friend of mine got a cham from, and I was sold! … The problem? December winters in Canada, eh! Mr. Jack was on the east coast and I was on the west. So, I had to wait a few months before I could have him shipped. I went to the local pet shop to buy supplies and get things ready for him. I had been asking the local shop if they ever get chams, and they said the last time they had them was 4 years ago. So, I had given up on getting a local cham. BUT on this trip to the shop, the owner remembered me and said he had a new shipment in the back… 5 baby vaileds!
I saw Littlefoot, and didn’t even have to see the others, she stole my heart. The shop kept her in quarantine for 3 weeks and did a poop test before letting me take her home…. then when the weather got better Mr. Jack was able to be shipped… and that’s the story of how I ended up with two different juvenile chams.
