HERNDON, VA. — PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, organizer of PACK EXPO, announced the launch of the CPG NexGen Awards, designed to honor young professionals helping to shape the future of packaging and processing. The industry-wide award program will recognize 10 professionals, age 35 and younger, working at consumer packaged goods (CPG) or end-user companies, who are impacting the industry through innovation, leadership, operational excellence and problem-solving.
“The packaging and processing industry is being transformed by a new generation of talented professionals bringing fresh ideas, technical expertise and leadership to the table,” said Jim Pittas, president and chief executive officer of PMMI. “The CPG NexGen Awards were created to celebrate these rising stars and recognize the incredible impact they’re already making across the industry.”
Managers, supervisors, teammates, mentors, suppliers, customers and industry partners can nominate individuals who are driving innovation and shaping what comes next in packaging and processing. Nominations will be accepted until July 17.
The 10 honorees will receive an exclusive hosted experience at PACK EXPO International 2026, held Oct. 18 to 21 in Chicago. Included with the award will be complimentary registration to the show, roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodation, access to exclusive networking events, and a complimentary ticket and recognition at PACK gives BACK™ on Oct. 19 during the show.
The NexGen awards provide participating companies with the opportunity to honor emerging leaders in their organization, as well as showcase their commitment to shaping the future of packaging and processing.
